What new tools or content do teachers imagine?

Also, with each new application the need grows for point solutions, or point-to-point integration (connecting this app with that service or that site with this tool).

Suppose a teacher has an idea, such as:

  • “I wish there was a way to ____”
  • “if only they made a ____”

Are those ideas passed up the chain? Does BigCo encourage such feedback, and is the feedback passed on to developers?

With all of the posts about tools and apps, and all of the discussion regarding the role of technology…

How often does an #EdTechWish come true?

The following remarks were culled from Twitter:

  1. “Shouldn’t Tech Developers (such as yourself) be reaching out to Schools/ Teachers/ Districts FIRST to create and design tech rather than the other way around?”
    (Lindsey Lipsky)
  2. “..a tool that would auto math/convert/input grades from a digital rubric (& docs/forms) into my gradebook.”
  3. “My DREAM #EdTechWish is for brand new schools and classrooms designed for students & modern learning (or at least the 21st C).”
